Preliminary goal determined to produce a documentary film that will capture the stories of Sonja Sonnenfeld and Raoul Wallenberg and inspire new generations to learn about:

-Raoul Wallenberg’s heroism

-Mrs. Sonnenfeld’s extraordinary attempts to rescue Wallenberg

-The devastating effects of xenophobia, religious conflicts and bullying

The Beginning:

RWCFI expands our mission to use film proceeds to fund new program design and development in the areas of:

-child and family development

-youth leadership

Research began around documentation of Raoul Wallenberg’s story, his capture and the attempts to secure his release from Soviet imprisonment.

Pre-Production:

Spring 2007: Develop Concept and launch Film Pre-Production

-Dr. Kesarev explores with Mrs. Sonnenfeld about the planned documentary film

-Research begins through a series of informal videotaped conversations with Mrs. Sonnenfeld

-Professional HD filming planned for Fall 2007 in Stockholm, Sweden
